The Right Way To Burn Off Fat and Keep Muscle

There are some interesting things about how you can avoid burning muscle and burn fat instead, and its all to do with the way in which the body responds to certain things. For example, a few people believe that eliminating all of their fat intake is needed, so they just eat fat free foods. All of a sudden the amount of fat they eat drops.

The only problem with that approach is it makes your body hoard fat. Your body will want to conserve every bit of fat that it has, and that is not exactly what we are looking for here. You will find that your body has a natural need for daily fat intake, but just reduce it to sensible levels without being extreme. Here are some more great tips to help burn fat and not muscle.

One of the most important activities you can do is engaging in resistance training. Many benefits can be obtained by this approach. There is an important principle involved with regular resistance training. Thanks to scientific research we know that you can condition yourself to respond in a certain way with constant resistance training. Your body knows to look for fat to burn rather than muscle tissue. The fact that the body does this is amazing. Constant resistance training is how you develop your muscles and body to burn fat over muscle. In regards to working out, you will need to look out for the exercises that you feel you can continue to do. If you're doing something you find is good for you you'll enjoy it more, and that's no secret. There's absolutely no reason to punish yourself with a workout that you don't like. Also, perception is very important here because some are clearly better than others. If you are in the habit of keeping a close eye on things like performance times, take a view of what you have done and how great that is. If you aren't competing at all then it isn't worth being too hard on yourself if you feel you are. We just think that focusing on the good aspects of your workout is what you should be doing.

Here's a piece of wisdom that's rather old and has been around for a very long time. But, surprisingly, not everybody knows this, and it will truly make a difference with your eating habits. Ensure you eat at a slow pace and chew all of your food thoroughly. There seems to be some sort of lag, of around 20 minutes, between when you are actually full up and when your brain knows you are.

Therefore if you eat very quickly your stomach and brain won't be in sync, so you will keep eating even if you're physically full. Thoroughly chewing your food will enable you to avoid indigestion. In addition, there are some digestive enzymes in your saliva and they will be able to start off the digestion process before the food reaches your stomach.

When you want to burn fat, not muscle, then explore all the various methods and little tricks you can use to great effect. The entire process is rather flexible due to the various methods available to you, and they work well.
